Grilled Tofu Skewers Recipe
Ingredients:
- 16 ounces firm tofu, drained and pressed
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into chunks
- 1 red onion, cut into chunks
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic.
- Place the tofu cubes in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the top. Let the tofu marinate for at least 30 minutes, flipping the cubes halfway through.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- While the grill is heating, prepare the skewers by threading the tofu cubes, bell peppers, and red onion onto them. Season with salt and pepper.
- Grill the skewers for 8-10 minutes, flipping them once, until the tofu is lightly charred and the vegetables are tender.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and serve hot.
