Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and cornstarch to make the glaze.
  5. Brush the meatballs with the glaze, reserving some for serving.
  6. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through and lightly browned.
  7. Remove from the oven and brush with the remaining glaze.
  8. Serve the meatballs hot with the reserved glaze on the side for dipping.
